Yo !!!!!!!!!!!

All I wanna know is, are these programmer units interchangeable?
I know different makes would most certainly not be interchangeable but I'm referring to the same makes of different types..... I've basically got one that is more than likely 20 years old and in an attempt at a 'Robbo repair job', I ended up fuhking it right up which is quite normal for me when delicate adjustments are required from 18 inch biceped arms ...... my wife warns me every time and every time I tell her, 'it's gonna be alright this time' ... I snapped one of them little timer thingies that are around the central timer disc when it pinged off at close to the speed of the light embedding itself into the ceiling.... I basically need a new box .. and I just wanna unpack it and not worry about any wiring or is it gonna be a more complicated jobbie?

Sorry to be a pain guys :(

did it look like this before you broke it ? (pic below )yours will say landis and gyr rather than potterton

their should be a model number on the back unless you chucked it for having the nerve to break :behindsofa:

Maybe RWB2 ? If it is this is a direct replacement which will fit onto the same backplate with no wiring changes.

wiring with theses things is not always straight forward although if you order a control unit that does the same functions as the original one you have then wiring will more likely be the same or at least the same amout of connections inside! and if you order the same make then u have even more chance to that it will be a straight swop, best thing to do when you remove old unit is to check on the back of the unit what each wire does and match to new wiring diagram of new programmer, as most programmers tell you what each connection does or atleast has a code which in turn you can find out what each one is for, ie, heating on heating off etc etc. but if the above model is correct you may well be able to connect onto original back plate without adjusting the wiring, w

The link I have given Pete is a direct swop to replace the unit he has,it will even drop on the same backplate with no wiring alterations.
