well i'm sure if u read the post u will have noticed i was talking about personal insurance, as u are not my person, you are obviously not covered. however my kit is in proper order and the bottle is regularly checked therfore taking insurance out just to cover a perfectly good bottle is a little ott. unless u are also talking about on-field injuries?

the biggest thing for me is that nothing is clarified, would you pay money to something you were unsure about just because someone said so? or would you want to know exactly what ur signing up for? because unless its the latter ur frankly stupid.
u seem to have missed the point of me saying my team will sign up if we have to so we can still play?

the whole thing to me, feels more like a union. the way some site's are registered and others aren't, it's not like driving a car uninsured at all. there is no law for this, its just recommendation. so why is there no choice?

Tinkering ain’t easy
My reading is rather good, I was making a point that your insurance covers you against injury but not me against injury from you. The UKPSF insurance covers others from being hurt by you.

You say your bottle is reguarly checked, are you a qualified HPA engineer who reguarly inspects the bottle both inside and out and checks the amount of movement of the side wall upon filling? I didn't think so, therfore how do you know your bottle is perfect. Stako bottles are perfect but have had issues (due to user error) in the instance your bottle goes bang and im stood next to you and im injured then id be looking for compo, would you want to pay the thousands my solicitor would demand or would you prefer someone to act on your behalf and pay out for the pricely sum of £15?

I have not missed the point of you saying you will sign up I have just chose not to respond to that.

Im sure if a site wants to be registered they could be but they would need to contact Steve Bull. There is a choice too, just not one that you like.

Anywho I digress I will leave the clarification to Mr Bull and sit tight in the knowledge that im covered.

@SneakySnorkels

Insurance issues aside why not just consider it more suporting the game you love to play.
If it were not for the work of the UKPSF, you might not be playing paintball right now.

I am seriously considering banning myself from these boards after this last little upset in this thread between myself and Asylum Killer ..... reason?

...er ... coz I made a pig's ear-ole of myself that's why.

Asylum Killer is a guy called Glen, I had zero idea as to who AK was ... none at all.
He's actually got a brother called Ronnie but I'm still none the wiser as there are plenty of those names around.

Problem for me is, Ronnie is a mate of mine, a mate who did something once of such unbelievable unselfishness that if I told you, I doubt you'd believe me, Ronnie and another guy called Mac D chose their friendship with me above money, and it was a considerable amount of money I can tell ya, it's a long story and I won't bother you with it, suffice it to say, guys like Ronnie and Mac are almost unique in paintball.

In fact, Ronnie and Glen both trained with Nexus when I owned that team and a lot of cold Sunday mornings in the Nottinghamshire countryside were spent with those guys as attempted to raise the bar in UK paintball back 2003-2004.

My point is, Glen is inflicted with the same sort of character as me in that we both fly off the handle quick if we think we are being attacked.
What made matters worse was I had zero idea it was Glen and so when I steamrolled into this thread with all the panache and subtlety of a pregnant hippopotamus, Asylum Killer [Glen] didn't take too kindly to it .. and rightly so bearing in mind he thought I knew his identity.

And so, Ronnie sends me a PM tonight and enlightens me to the identity of AK and then things begin to fall horribly into place ..... d'oh ..... d'oh ...... and d'oh cubed !!!

A subsequent 10 minute fone call with Ronnie was quickly followed by another ten minute fone call with Glen and peace returned to the world of Ronnie, Glen and Robbo .....

Hmmmm.... a lesson learned and one that's left me feeling kinda queasy and I can't apologise enough to Ronnie for freaking him out, to Glen for putting him on the back foot and to my wife for throwing Sunday night's spaghetti bolognaise into my lap whilst muttering,' why don't you just grow up Pete' ..... she's got a point I think :(

looking at this thread we all need to take a step back and re read what has been said
if we are wanting to become a legit sport,we need to move forward and we are going to have to do somethings we don,t want to
if somebody from the sports council had looked at this ,then we as a whole would have looked disorganised
if you look at other sports they have one governing body in each country
we bicker and argue about paying a measly £15, now some of you have concerns about the policy
this should be taken up with bully and not aired on a public forum
bully as taken alot of his own time and effort to do the best for our sport
with out anything in it for himself
how many people know what he does for us
so to this end robbo please will you contact bully and have a ukpsf board on here that bully can sort out any problems that people have
which would probably sort out threads like this, and if people have problems with their cards or insurance then they have a place to ask
without bully getting hundreds of emails a week along with the rest he gets already:)

From this I gather that Glen is a lot bigger than robbo.... :D

Hmmm, and if you think that would deter me for one second, then you really don't know much about me at all.

There are a few things that might deter me and one of those is pissing off mates or people who have helped me out; Ronnie fulfils both the former and latter.

And fyi, I'm bigger :)

Bon, you'd make a great negotiator in the Middle East mate; within a week of you getting out there, mushroom clouds would be appearing all over Israel and Palestine :)
