Ok guys from rd 5 onwards we would like alll players of the CPPS to carry UKPSF membership.

We have always backed the idea from its inception but now to allign with the Federation aims and our own and for the peace of mind it offers we will need to police and enforce this ready for the 2011 season

What it means is you will have to carry your card with you to events so we can record your number on the player rosta/waiver at each event. If you have forgotten or it has expired you will be allowed to play the event but it will be noted and you must have the membership in place by the next event.

Cheers,

Rich.

Does this mean we're going to have stuff to sign on entry ever time?
Might it be an idea to publish a form online somewhere and get the teams to sign it and then just hand it in to you on the day. I only say this because having played the masters series last year and having to spend ages filling out forms before we could play, combined with forever arriving late this season I can see us having problems.
I know the being late is our problem but it might be worth thinking about.

Just tried to get membership online via the link and it just came up with error messages. Is there another way to get UKPSF membership?

THAT ****ING SUCKS ASS MATE! What if I do not wish to be FORCED into joining an organisation just to play your tournament?
nor do I wish to part with my hard earned money when this sport is expensive enough as it is?. My lads are young and skint and should not HAVE to join any organisation, nor should they have to pay for the priviledge!!!! I am against this move full stop!

Sorry Richie, you know I have your back but this STINKS!:(

From the UKPSF site:

•£5 million Civil Liability cover*
•Personal Accident : Death and Capital Benefits £50,000
•Temporary Total Disablement £50.00 per week (14 days deferment period)

Also without UKPSF membership revenue the likes of Steve Bull wouldn't be able to keep up all the work he does behind the scenes for UK paintball, such as ensuring we (as in rec ball and tournaments) are operating within the law. As well as being an organisation to act on behalf of the industry if issues arise. Without them there is a good chance non of us would be playing at this point in time, at least not without a lot more sanctions!

I understand what you mean about the added expense, and £15 is relative to your income, so some will think it is nothing while others may feel it expensive, but in terms of the grand scheme of how expensive paintball is when considering the cost of kit, paint, entry fees etc is it really that much?

To be honest the CPPS is behind in this stipulation by a year or so, to play the Masters or NSPL this has been obligatory for the last year and a half or so. So in terms of playing tournaments in the UK without one of these cards now the CPPS is enforcing them I think you are left with no options?
