paintball has survived for what 25+yrs without mainstream tv coverage, why is it suddenly going to fall apart?

Adam is right Raff, if you are believing the future of paintball is somehow wrapped up in its ability to attract mainstream attention, then I'm afraid you're in for a dark surprise mate ...

It ain't gonna happen, and this was one of the reasons why the Fed was created because we all knew the tournament scene was on the floor [and digging] and unless we could somehow come up with a rescue package, the notion of a healthy tournament scene was pie in the sky.

It is essential we focus our attention on the relevant factors in our game rather than ideals from years back and TV is a bus long since gone ... and to be honest, it was never gonna visit our
stop anyway, sorry mate :-(

Fair points. I wasn't really talking TV - but just more of a 'spectacle' for the viewing public that are there in person. I'm talking about the simple things. Making teams all wear the same colour is a start. I don't know of any other team sport/game that doesn't already do this.

That was my original point (which, admittedly, did get lost along the way). If it can happen - it'd be great. If it doesn't - then we'll just keep going as we do now...

BOP's Blackpool event was a perfect example of this. I took the time to speak to some of the spectators that had stopped for a curious look - and most of them all asked the same question, "how can you tell which team is which?". I thought that was a fair question. Brightly coloured 'strips' seemed the obvious solution - but maybe not?

Ok you win. That would definitely solve that problem your friends have with their eyes :)

I'll ask John if he can rig up blue flashing light attachments for our goggles if you want? :) :p
