3000 psi works great i use a dm as well and i had no problem with gass running out.
Ithink it was done so that players could not dominate the forward positions and its also easier for the admin to control they just set up the presure rather than have to check every players pots before they enter . in a nutshell easier for everyone.

yea works really well. No point having 4500 air fill if you limit pots to 4 or 5 as most guns would breeze that and have 1k left or more.

Coe, come down and have a look. Im fairly certain you will want to play.

I don't really follow, 3000 psi fills for DM does not mean very many shots, or in GEO1 case, couple and hopper. I understand the point of not being able to dominate forward positions, but combine this air restriction with 280FPS limit, it sounds more that these rules are there to reduce need of athletics in the game rather than allow it to flow better. Not saying its a horrible idea to reduce need to be fit to play well, but less restrictions equals more fun. FPS limit just reeks need to reduce shot distance for some goofy reason.

Up to 300 FPS and limit by pods instead of air would be my guess for future evolution if this format gains popularity. Just guessing tho. Will definetly want to try this out.

edit. I must say I really dig the idea behind this, I just find the restrictions odd. I can't just see this working with air limit, time spent on field is critical and amount of shots you can carry equals your forward advantage if you can hold it. When you run out, you need to go and tag your partner in reserve. So, these rules can potentially lead into vicious cycle of finding best marker to shoot as much paint as possible with 3k psi. Egos, timmys, marqs, etc. Whole issue can be changed by judge looking that you have 4 pods in your back rather than checking your tank meter and then it does not favor certain brands of guns and will allow full industry wide support for the format.

OK guys, here it is but it's not exactly breath-taking; it may well have something to do with the players not being sure of the format and everything being new.
Still, the next few months should see things livening up as teams get more used to playing it and subsequently have a better idea of what to do; it's a learning curve for everybody ...even for cameramen :)

With the greatest of respect Coe, if a geo is getting 2pots and a hopper off 3000 fill, its set up wrong. Same with the DM. I have no experience with either gun other than a quick hold, but Im confident that set up right, both guns could shoot 4 pods and a hopper.

No? (someone chime in please!)

No judge checks anything other than chrono. I think you are reading into it too much. There were all types of guns there, and no-one has even mentioned this point you speak of, so Im not sure what you want me to say. Best advice is come try it!

i have a geo and the efficiency didnt matter at all, of course it helps if your "athletic" you can get the buzzer easier, make bumps quicker etc so "fat mans paintball" doesnt really stick. 280 fps is a good idea to allow people to get back on the field, plus if people are running there guns at 20 bps, you take a few extra isnt going to sting as bad

I'm not going to argue, you where there I was not. But there is plenty of GEOs out there that pump 6 pods with a 4k fill. If you care enough, there is plenty of recorded efficiency tests on the internet, from good sources. (just search gun reviews or individuals blowing out paint on their markers and counting pods) People often mistake their markers actual efficiency, because it has lost its point with xball format. And there is not alot of ways you can tune these for more shots. You did get minus points if ran out paint and had to refill or tag another one?

I just found it odd, both fill and fps, and for someone hearing about the format first time, those two stood up as really odd and confusing rules.
