The main criterion for holding your gun will be to provide a stable base from which to shoot so as to optimise the accuracy and at the same time minimise your own target profile.

If some people [for whatever reason] feel more comfortable using this method, whilst of course upholding the two main requirements just mentioned, then I don't really see any problem ...apart from the fact you might look a bit of a pr!ck :)

i hold my gun in a similar way, not really sure why i do, seem to havew always done it since the woods, just sorta works for me and i shoot people, which is the main thing i guess, although i dont have my thumb around the feed neck its just sortof finger and or thumb around the barrel, and the reason people play with there bottle on the shoulder, they look AGG LOL ;)

given the time and location there may have been a heavy side wind, especially if he was playing snake 1, he would have also had wet feet

yeah but in that case whats his left hand doing with his thumb hanging out at the side? surely thats "less stable" meaning he isnt going "full throttle".
