why would they refund for "an act of god"? okay it would seem like good customer relations, but if you look at the majority of other events (and the insurance companies that cover them) then there is no pay out for "acts of god".
the MS has already paid (or is contracted to pay) for the set up at their end. to refund everyone who couldn't make it would seriously dent the business and may result in a potentially massive loss. the fact that the loss could be deemed to be from "an act of god" could mean that loss of income would be uninsurable.
their best bet would be to replicate the events of post-malaga last year, with a rescheduling of the unplayed matches at future evens attended by those teams.
as an aside, the weirdest thing we're not covered for in our business insurance is "damage caused by livestock falling from altitude". i can't envisage too many instances of cows falling from planes....
