So with the weather cancelling more and more flights and the current situation not seeming to improve in the near future can we get a confirmation on the millenniums plans for the games that will be missed due to an "act of god".
I assume after last years all div1 cpl and spl games that could not be played in malaga being played over the next two events i assume the same will be applied this year, after all this is again a mitigating circumstance and as such should not be treated any different to last ear.

I think its important to note here that no one is looking to benefit from this unpredictable event but instead teams who have always continued to, and wish to continue to contribute to the millennium series are in danger of being penalised due to circumstances out of their control.

Im sure more teams will be effected by this over the next few hours/days so if you have any input/ suggetions please post the, here

well, they can do two things...

1 - use the 'act of god' excuse to not refund or compensate in the future the teams that couldnt get out to the event

2 - show some sympathy to those teams who couldnt get out and refund/compensate them (i.e. discount for next round)

Now, I know the Millennium are a business and they have to be profitable... but it will be interesting to see what they do or what they dont do for those who couldnt make it?

In another light, if I booked tickets to watch football aboard and couldnt get out there due to some ****ty volcano, I'd know that my ticket would be worthless and wouldnt expect to see my money back for it.

I think if they do like Jay said, and play out the lost matches/games from malaga at the other rounds that the teams will attend then it wouldnt be much of an issue with refunds or compensation. Teams just want to play their paintball!. Us for example are booked in for Malaga, and i think we have just sacked off the idea that were actually going, therefore maybe we could get our 10 games at the rest of the series events (providin Malaga does continue).

That being said, There are otherways to travel, so the mills could just say no to refunds, compensations or lost games ect. :(

If Teams are stranded because of such things as Acts of God, then Mill should in my eyes understand that this was beyond there control and refund..

I think more to the point is that possible high winds again at this event could wreck it, surely Mill should learn from this now and move location..

Teams found it cheaper last year to just not turn up at the turkey event and now it has been dropped..

How many teams will want to travel out to malaga if winds once again wreck this event..

I think although great to play on the beach front etc, why keep taking chances..

I wouldnt mind playing the Malaga games at the next event but I think that will be hard to do, not all of the teams booked in for Malaga will play Germany.

Good point about the transport to the event, the Millennium could just say 'could have caught a train or traveled by car'. I dont expect much from them tbh, but would be nice if they factored in something for us for the next event :(

It would be nice if like Carl said, they realised its way beyond anyones control.

As horrible as it sounds it is true, teams could have use dother methods then the easiest, i hate to say it, cos my team is absolutley gutted, we played one mills last year, loved it and was so looking forward to sun sea sand and paintball...

Only time will tell, lets see if the event runs, lack of teams, bad weather ect.. im pretty sure it will go ahead, but lets see what the mills say after that.

For those teams that cant get out, i really do feel for you all!.. i know exactly how you feel trust.....

i wasnt suggesting a refund i was merely suggesting they enforce the same mitigating circumstances they did last year when they couldnt complete the event and let the teams that couldnt attend play their games over the next two rounds.

Im sure this would go a long way to re enforce customer confidence in the millennium.

why would they refund for "an act of god"? okay it would seem like good customer relations, but if you look at the majority of other events (and the insurance companies that cover them) then there is no pay out for "acts of god".

the MS has already paid (or is contracted to pay) for the set up at their end. to refund everyone who couldn't make it would seriously dent the business and may result in a potentially massive loss. the fact that the loss could be deemed to be from "an act of god" could mean that loss of income would be uninsurable.

their best bet would be to replicate the events of post-malaga last year, with a rescheduling of the unplayed matches at future evens attended by those teams.

as an aside, the weirdest thing we're not covered for in our business insurance is "damage caused by livestock falling from altitude". i can't envisage too many instances of cows falling from planes....

don't forget most of the Teams have already paid in full for the whole season, and all they want is to play the games at other events......just like the last time when the shoe was on the other foot last year
