Instead of respecting their decision, we are questioning it. Why?

...because some people wanna create a divide between the players and the Federation when the reality is, the likes of Ledz, Jimmy Frensham, Simon Cole, Andy Piper, myself and others have represented the playing base of our country from the bottom to the very top of our sport and know exactly what players need.

In fact, I'd go as far as saying, those mentioned, certainly myself, never really stop thinking like a player even though the last time I picked up a marker to play was years ago ..... I'm sure I speak for most of the other guys as well.

But, people lovvvvvve to cause problems and accuse us things like of elitism [as exampled by people like mshell] when in reality, the accusation has more to do with the accuser's inferiority complex than it has to do with anything of substance.

Still, it's all part of the game we play ain't it?

:)

I would be happy for Twizz or Lump to represent us. They are both men with integrity and I honestly believe they want our sport to thrive.

Regarding number of player representatives. I think that one clear voice for all players at the moment makes more sense. However perhaps in the future if player numbers get to a high enough number it might be more appropriate to have regional representation, but not know.

Having a larger number of trade representatives is also important. These companies as a whole have a much bigger impact than any individual player. They sponsor and support teams, provide tech support and are generally heavily relied. They can also each have different types of players they mix with e.g. Lips, which is a great shop probably sees a great percentage of KOTH-Div1 players and Ledz will get involved with more pro teams. This range of experience can help to explore the decisions that the Federation make and be confident that their decisions will have the desired effect.

i would do this as a newish player on the scence, i play xball so play to a quite a high standard and am very determined player, trying improve as a individual and see paintball grow, any of the guys from warped could vouch for this, and Rich Harris from balls out would also be a good reference, im defo not all knowing and defo dont have massive opinions on things in paintball as i just love to play, but maybe this is what is needed from a player rep, some one who is hungary for the sport, and hasnt been around all the politics fo years and years, or maybe not i dont no,

*Raises hand* ... Anyone?

I'd like to be involved as I always believed in pushing the sport in the right direction. I know I might not be the best liked amongst some people and did not exactly have the best rep from the beginning but lets face it people can change correct?

I have played in; PA, CPPS, UKM, Mills.

I've been on the scene for around 7 years (from playing my first time and working for a site). I doubt many people would back me up but heck its worth a shot.

I nominate myself.

Hopefully people will back me, elect me with a landslide, and then at the last minute I 'll regretfully bow out, due to the fact that Harlem isn't actually in the UK, and, having slept with the majority of the FED board, I could easily be accused of neglecting the interests of the players.

So yeah, vote for Missy!

LOLOLOL - the thought of you and Jim Frensham going at it just made me hurl tho .....

And then the thought of you and Ledz barged its way into my head and I damn near collapsed into a pool of my own vomit.

By the way Missy, the answer is 'No', I don't go for ..... hmmm, how can I put this ..... I don't go for women whose weight category is similar to that of a long nosed bun eater .... no offence meant you understand ...

Did you even read the thread title? Player Representative, not "Playa", though, to give you your dues, you probably got more "Game" than the whole of the UK player base put together, just no the same kinda game ;)

I think some people want to be the rep because of the cred that would come with it. What they have to realise is that this is a commitment, and comes with responsibility, and unpaid responsibility at that.
Who currently does volunteer work for the Pball community?
The Mods on this site.
Also, who has a better conduit to the UK playing public than a P8nt mod?

I seriously wouldn't want to do it. My time is a premium to me and people have to pay big bucks for it. If someone is willing to do it, and they have a proven track record like Lump or Twizz, then I would expect people to back them all the way. These people can be judged by their previous actions, rather than their promises of good-will.
