Firstly Ithink it's really great to see lots of people wanting to try out for the squad,

But please bear in mind part of being able to take part in the event is you already attending or planning to attend the final Millenium Series tournament at Disneyland Paris in France AND being able to train together as a squad before the event itself at both Bricket Wood and CPPS venues.

The Youth Cup managers and team are not responsible for your travel, accomodation, finances or catering whilst at the event or training sessions before for any of the players ( unless agreed by prior arrangement ).

Bear in mind minors ( under 18's ) cannot travel outside the UK without parent's or guardians concent and you may need to provide proof of this for UK border staff.

If you cannot meet these criterea I would suggest talking to either Markie C or Twizz before attending the try-outs.

Is there no way there can be a trials day at Bricket Wood for the Southern players like there was for the GB squad?

I fully appreciate the chosen squad will need to practice together at both venues, but with other practice commitments some of these players are going to struggle financially with travel costs and hotels to come up for a try out when I would think there's a good 50% of people on the list who are Southern based.

If there's anything I can do to help with organising anything at BW with Twizz to make it possible, then say the word.

I'm with Gran on this one..

They were at CPPS last year and all us southerners had to travel up so they should be at Bricket Wood this year and continue to alternate each year. Think it would be fairer for everyone.

Again fully with Gran and Talfryn on this, two sets of trials were held for the senior squad why can the same not be done for the juniors.

Makes sense when you bear in mind the guys are FAR LESS likely to be able to travel easily themselves or finance the trip.

There are plenty of guys who can assist Twizz at a Southern trials myself included if it will help.

Gran Marco Talfin.

Thanks guys for the input.

What ever we do we are not going to be able to please every one all the time, but we do try.

The reason and the only reason it's being held at the CPPS is it is more central to every one,

The men's team was split into 2 just because of time scale and a lot more of the men's team play pro, so have a much harder practice schedule with some of the players playing in Europe and the states so we had to pick a date stick to it then just get on with it so it was a date when every one was free.

With the youth team we talked about it and wanted to get the dates up as soon as we could to make sure there is enough time for players to get ready for it. plsu make it as cheap as possible for the players so only charged one days green fee for 2 days practice.

We have given the players 7 weeks notice to make plans for it we have sorted out with rich free camping and if people wanted to talk and share hotel rooms then it would make it a lot cheaper plus their is a lot of players who live near by who I'm sure would find some room for them o the floor or in the bath :)

Then we wanted to make sure the players had time to gel with each other, and made it fair to have 2 of the practice dates in both places. Plus we are booking a spot to have a practice at the Paris event it's self free of charge to the players.

Yes some players are coming from the south but as many are coming from far north which still take 3 hours to get to the cpps and would take even longer to get to bricketwood but will still come to the practice dates at BW.

Me and twizz have just talked and taken on board what people are saying so we have cut the weekend try out date to just one day which will be the Sunday the 22nd and will still be at the CPPS site.

We have it easy compared with the likes of France and Germany where players have to fly in for practice. all we need to do at most is a few hours up or down the motor way, we have chance for the UK as a whole to get a lot better so hopefully this will help in some way.

So we are having 4 practice days 2 @ the CPPS and 2 @ BW this is fair to every one.

Just at Markie has said. we did have a chat and both thought it would be better to have the tryout day at the CPPS which is in the middle, we can't please everyone and I will jave to travel nearly 3 hours to get to the CPPS myself buts thats what I commited to so that's what I am going to do

Sorry for any problems caused
