Well actually, theres normally only 1 floater on a game, if your lucky. Two's for really big groups. So with 3 marshals per game, and average 40 people in a group, tahts about 13 people to a marshal.
nah mooney if it's 40 ppl on a game there are two floaters. They are to hard to get rid of (no pun...well ok pun intended

Yup thats a lot of marshalls. At Foxwood skirmish we only have two marshals per game up two 40 punters then above that the game turns into a round robin and you have four teams and four marshals. Although groups of about 25 players have been known to go out with a single marshal only.

In an ideal world 1 marshal per 10 players with a minimum of 3 per feild. Ukpsf is 1 marshal per 15 customers. Every site is diffrent and runs diffrently, it dose not mean it is wrong just how it's done at X.
Some things are safety issues, some are personal choice.
I would recomend every marshall atetnd the ukpsf traing course.
Not only will it help you be a better marshal it will help you protect your self and your intrests. If not try and read the site owners guide it is heavy reading, most stuff is down to common sence but some things are law and you need to know.
If you marshal juniors it is wise to be familar with the childerns act.
No one wants to be tainted by the permant record of being a pedophile and these days it is all too easy.
Never be left alone with any child for any reason.
Only ever call them netural by touching their heads.
This is all to do with protecting your self from a possible prison sentance.
Heavy going you bet.
Like I said it's in your intrest not to be ignorant and keep your self safe.
Marshalling is great fun and very rewarding I would hate to put any one off but do it right do it sfae stay safe. It is in your own intrest.
