Hi everyone. Is anyone here gonna be at the NPF in 2 saturdays time for the young gunz day. I will, its my first day marshalling. C u all there!

Yeh it would be cool if u were there. Some people i kinda know. Anyway if you are there, look for an irish 15 year old marshall looking nervous but excited along with a 6ft lanky giant guy called dave (my mate). It our first time but it should be good. Looking forward 2 it. (Also any advice people can give me on marshalling might help seeing as i don't have a clue!)

Well its young gunz so I wouldnt be worried about players not doing what you tell them. Most of them will do what you say. Thing is you'll learn most of what to do as you work their, when you first start you have absolutly no idea what to do, and probably get in the way a bit. I did, still do infact

Hi sean, dont worry about marshalling, its easy enough to get the hang of - if your site is anything like the one i work at, or even most ive bin too the marshalls are generally pretty freindly and will help you learn the ropes. check this thread buddy coz its someone elses first time this weekend

Just normal marshalling. Theres 3 types of marshal at the NPF, GM's, Flag marshals and normal marshals.
The GM's are the ones in red that organise the whole group, kinda like a head marshal.
The flag marshals look after one team, take them to their bases explain the game give them some help.
Normal marshals are just marshals that marshal, dont have to flag. Though you'd be expected to flag at some time in the future, usually one day they'll say "You can flag today" and give you a bit of help.

Yeh thanx for the help. It sounds ok. I should be good at it cos i'm usually a outgoing person. I know what the flag marshalls do, but i'd need a bit more experience for that,as i'd imagine u have to know the fields better. Thanx for the advice.
