We have a few hill-like formations (highest point in state is around 300 feet above sea level ) but great expanses of the state are below sea level and only protected by rapidly erroding beaches. What other similarities are there, I wonder? You have dikes. We have dykes. You have a population that may or may not speak English. Same for us. You had William of Orange, we have just plain oranges. Practically the same place 'cept we have year round paintball.Originally posted by Buddha 3
Well, if he's off to Europe to race mountain bikes, he's going to be darn far away from Holland. See, we ain't got any mountains at all. Not even hills. No sir. The biggest bump in the road that we can police up is about a foot high, and has a fence around it, to prevent it from being stepped on.
Shees, 300ft above sea level, that's like the mighty Himalaya compared to what we have!Originally posted by Baca Loco

Wow, I'd guess that maybe 90% of Floridians actually speak one language much less two--that other 10% know a few words of this, that or the other so they have a rudimentary method of communicating but it ain't really speech.Originally posted by Buddha 3
Actually, 99.99% of the Dutch can speak English, which can't be said for the US peoples....
We have year round paintball too. We have no weather extremes, since we only have two seasons to a year: Rain is coming, and rain is here.
Well what about the people down in Cuba town there? I've been to Miami, beautiful place to walk in the day, and I know a lot of Cuban immigrants settled in Miami. And a lot ofe at least understanding of two languages.Originally posted by Baca Loco
