I have also had that prob with a hopper (Halo "B" fell off when my knee hit my hopper while running/sliding into a cube).

I know what you mean about the Revi shells, although I think there getting better since I've not heard anyone saying that they have broken a shell lately/or sen people break one for that matter.

Anyways I shall have to blag a Revi off someone this weekend, until I have tried an Egg2 since I might not like it (I'm sure I will, but best to make sure).

Also as I said above, is the Y-Board out yet? and if so how much extra is it for one?? over the normal Egg2 Board and what speed rates is "suppose" to go up too ? ;)

Thanks

You should have said you were playing MM with DV8 on Sunday, I would have lent you my Egg to try.....

Oh well, was a good thought anyway......

If you're not sorted before the next practice, have a word and you can try it for a few games.

Tony,

Thats why I wanted to try it on your game you missed, but I was too late :(

Looks like I'm going to be using a Revi this weekend, but thanx for the offer, and if I could I would like to try your Egg2 out for a few games :)

Also was not sure if I was playing or not, but looks like I am now :)

why not try and find a Halo A? has the sort of 'deflect' shape like the ricochet(and halo ) and feeds at a respectable 18bps...just a thought!
Ehhhhh????

I'm swapping from a Halo B, so a Halo A would give me the same problems because it would still be forcing balls past my ADB.

I have another question....

I've heard that the Egg2 need fresh batterys just about every event is this true or is it not really that bad?

Thx

Also I thought the Halo "A" and "B" had the same shell?

.......Simply No.

Halo's Force feed the balls into the chamber where as Egg's flick balls down the feed neck, but do not stack up balls through spring tension, so balls are forced into the chamber by Halo's.

You could write loads on this but I don't want to go into loads of detail, since I'm asking about Revi's and Egg's.

Curious did you tey any of the common know cures for double feeding?
Fresh ADB's NOT Eclipse Fangs
Oiling the belt slightly?
Failing the above contacting Oddysee?

Out of revi and an Egg I spose I'd go egg but only cos they are quicker.

Just as a side note, if you harbour any potential interest in using a Warp Feed on your marker, definitely go for an Egg over a Revy. As the feed tube is near the front, the actual hopper hangs much further back, which makes it ten times easier to position the warp nice and tight on the marker. With the revy the front of the hopper fouls the warp feed tube on some markers.

On the flip side, whatever feed system you use, when it's full the Egg will move the balance of your marker further back compared to a Revy.

And they are the ugliest thing this side of "Aliens", but that's a separate issue altogether ;)

And finally, I tested my X-board 12V Revy side by side with an original 10 year old 9V Agitator hopper. The Revy only emptied the hopper a couple of seconds faster than ye oldy hopper, and a few times there was nothing in it. So things haven't really moved on as far as Viewloader would have you believe!
