I've just sold my Halo B due to it double feeding with my Vision Impulse :( and so I'm in the need of a new hopper :)

I'm unsure which I should go for since, I can out shoot a normal Revi (not X-Board/or Vortex paddles), but the Egg2 seems abit to big for a front man.

Was just wondering if the X-board and Vortex paddles really speeds the Revi up that much or should I go with a egg2?

I've only shot Revi's before, but one of my team mates has a Egg2 and he has had so far no probs and likes it since he switched from his Halo B.

Just wondered what people thought and if anyone else has also made the same switch and what they did?

Thanx,

A friend of mins had the same problem with double feeding on a Vision Impulse and he now uses a x-board revi (what he was using before the Halo).

If your getting double feeds I recommend the Egg. It still has it's faults (brittle lid etc) but it is far more likely to keep up with your impy.

I used one for a few months on an IR3 and it worked perfect, although they are a little large (I play up front too) you'll be glad of that fact at a limited paint tournament :)

Try PJ at Phoenix (link in my sig) as he said they were getting some more in shortly. Failing that, LPS will be the next best bet I imagine...

egg's are cool as long as they have the Y board in them.
they have a mahoosive capacity too.
the vortex paddle doesnt make a revi faster, but it does drive the last few balls in better, in fact, it drives all the balls in better. it doesnt bat them about like the standard.

Hey, if the egg is good enough for Bob Long's Ironmen, it should be good enough for you... No I'm kidding, the egg is a bit of an ugly creature, and it may appear large, but thats because of its height, not the actual size. Its a quality hopper that can feed very fast. And the way it connects to the gun, in a reclined sort of manner, in my experience helps increase bounce (please dont yell at me contesting that, its just an opinion). Sort of like the richochet, but not so useless. Anyhow, the egg will give you the better feed rate, despite the wierd looks, it works.

Thanx

Thanx for all the reply's :)

Will have to ring up Just Paintball and see how much they could get me a egg2 for :).

I've heard abit about the Y-Board feeding around the 22bps mark (Holo speed :D ) but is this true and when round abouts is it coming out (or is it already out?).

I shall be borrowing a revi *again :( * this weekend so lets hope I remeber to put Vision on (I had that prob for the first 3 games last MM :p )

Anyways I might just have to give a Egg2 ago before I buy one since I've only used a Revi (none X-Board) out of the two.

Thanx again for the info :)

Graham,

The only thing I would say about the X-Brd is to be careful with them as the shells are still brittle and still have a tendacy to break or crack. It is such a pain in the ass when you are out doing your stuff and you find you left the hopper behind   cause I have been there and done it.

Cheers
