The idea of a competition where people play a regular format to make to the finals and then change to play X-ball, really doesn't sit very well for me.

I think it either needs to be an X-ball event or not.

You could have a regular 7 man event with a show case of X-ball, but changing the format at the finals feels wrong to me.

Having a Euro Series and a USA series makes sense with HUGE play off games at the World Cuo maybe be down to 4th place....

Or perhaps have the leagues separate, have a US champ, and a Euro champ, and have them have a go at eachother. You know NFL Superbowl style sort of thing...

OH MY GOD, I have just realised the irony of Rob 'Tyger' Rubin maybe coming up with a partial solution for the integration of X-Ball into Europe.

Isn't that something along the lines of the question that I asked Robbo just after the WC?
Teams should have to qualify for the cup. If it becomes the X-ball world cup, cool, at least it may accrue some value by being a real gathering of the very best Y amount of teams (too many X's )

Do you guys think that X-ball will clash with the Millenniums? (5 man v 7 man)

It just makes sense to do with paintball want other sports have been doing for years right?

It just makes sense to have a Euro circut, then the best of the Euro circut makes it's way to the states for a "super meet". Possibly have the top 2 or 3 teams make it over for the "X-ball World Finals" of sorts.

See? I have solutions, the problem is nobody ever calls me!!!! Someday, you may believe me that my intentions are purely for the better of it all...

I've always believed you, Tyg, just haven't always agreed with ya.

In X it's 5 at a time. The intent is kinda hockey-like in having shifts or "lines" to rotate. They are talkin' big rosters 'cus their only experience so far demonstrates that it is a demanding form of play and way too many players, even top players, just ain't real physical specimens, if you know what I'm saying.
Once top players are also compelled to be athletes I expect roster totals will probably change. Just my HO.

I know it was 5, It's just that with people tlaking about Millenium bing 7, I wanted to make sure I had it right.

Just making sure. I've played the style before, It's greuling, true. But, I'd like to see real athletes, or at least a sport in which people consider themselves athletes.
