X Ball Euro Update

as somebody before sayed:
1. Russian Legion
2. Nexus
3. Ton Tons
4. Joy Division
5. ...

The rest are not sure cause i don't think they have the finnancial backing to br able to play it. As for teams that could feel the spots.

5. NBK
6. Hardcore

The rest i do not know. The teams should have fit and fast players, atleths as you can call them. Without the speed europe will be kicked by usa which sucks. So acctually there should be 4 new teams. But that's only my opinion.

Dont get me wrong, but imho there seem to be better (playing) teams like them. They did a nice job on euroball, but there are still some teams in front. Time might change rankings ..
But placing Nexxus 2nd looks quite political for me..

I know I can.
And I *really* wish you just the best. I ve seen you playing in Pittsburgh and on the Euroball and liked it.
Its not about I dont respect you, but imo today its too early to rank you inbetween the euro top 8. And thats what you have to be to play the x-ball. Nothing more. No.2 sounds a little megalomaniac.

If you look at the posts, Junior did not rank Nexus as #2, it was Wolfi. I also don't know if he (Wolfi) was actually ranking them or just listing the teams (from the previous post that I made) who might be playing X-Ball. As far as that goes he is probably correct in putting Nexus (along with the Tons Tons & Russians) as one of the "sure bets" to be playing X-Ball, the rest os us are waiting to see if we will be invited to the party...

... appreciate the kind words, but haven't you ever learned there is nothing in life that is a sure bet? (other than that death & taxes thingy)

We hope we'll be there - but there are numerous things that have to be addressed by every team that would like to play.
1) will they get invited
2) can they afford it (looks like it won't be a problem for most teams now)
3) do they have enough manpower to really make a go of it (this is probably the most important thing). The worst thing that could happen would be teams agreeing to play - but only being able to show up with 8-10 players while others are field 10 plus a pit crew. Would kind of defeat the purpose of what is being proposed - serious paintball.
4) what about sponsors & extra paint needed ...

We'll hopefully see how things shake out in the coming weeks - just hope some news is released quick - been itching to play but the snow on the ground puts a damper on things.

just for your notice:

All I wanted to say was, that I would prefer to rank the top teams in the queue for the xballers. And the only ranking we have is the ms ranking. So its quite clear who are the top 8. ..

But there might be other qualifications issues as well. I thought I read something about the BEST 8 .. but that wasnt a post not from the ones who might be involved.

IF the organizers want to have the BEST 8 they have a basis for their choice with the ms ranking.

Otherwise there might be some people who are getting pissed. Im not. But I think there are too much politics in the sport than its good for us.

Now i know i play for Nexus, but if you was an organisor for this event you would like it to be the best. Now just by looking at this list i can tell you that is not the best 8 teams and the people who are picking know alot more about paintball than i do.
i mean Tonton are above Russian Legion as if that is correct in ability it just meant Tonton marshalled. Now i know you have seen Nexus play can you honestly tell me that Nexus arnt in the top 8 in fact maybe some more teams should be up there.

Hmmm... you're right. The MS ranking doesnt show the best in the correct order, nor does it show the X best on the first X places.
But correct me (again) if Im wrong .. were talking all the way long about top 8 euro teams to participate in the xball challenge, but isnt it the best 6 euro teams plus two US teams? So you guys have to be one of the top 6 teams then,..
Well, Im not really into the scene, but imHo the top teams are something like:

RLegion, TonTons, Enemy, Joy Div, Duck's, NBK, Hardcore ..

If I had to name one or two german teams, too, I would mention Syndicate and especially Millennium.

And I believe especially Millennium fits into the concept of xball. Theyre playing fast and agressive style. Very spectator-friendly.

But the longer i think about the top teams i must confess that the top are quite close togehter. You might have your place also there. But right now (again: things may change rapidly) I wouldnt call you on of the top 6. Nevertheless I wish you much luck, cause I believe that you and your team may change things in european and also world-paintball-business. It would be damn nice to have (again) a european team (without the € > beating the US in every way.
