Well that was great day out, we placed a respectable eighth, which we thought was ok for our first tournament, especially as many of the other teams were more experienced than we were, even if most weren't taking it too seriously. I had had visions of us taking the wooden spoon home.

Thanks to Niall (afro-man) and co for oranizing the event, and thanks to the other teams we played for the good sportsmanship shown on the day.

Er...we were meant to take it seriously??? I take it u didn't see my hotpants and 5" heels?? and Paul in a silver thong and Leon in his sisters mesh bellytop and lycra trousers...and Brian (looking far less Dangerous than usual) sporting a mega afro and flares he kept tripping on.. etc... Was a fun day... had some good laughs! Got some good pics too..may post some up later in the week. Write up & pics in PBUK too!

Well done to those who managed to dress up (I wasn't even playing and I still strutted my stuff). Bah humbug to those who couldn't be bothered and to those who started whining on speedball about some paintcheck or another. With jelly babies given to marshalls, and mince pies and scrumpy as the main attraction (and Clive's chilli), you don't really expect the tourney to be serious! Well done all

Niall looked fab in his afro - I'm sure I've seen an ancient copy of PGI with him looking some what similar to the way he looked yesterday...
