This is hardly new news, these have been around for like 3 or 4 years. They mount right next to your trigger and each spin produces something like 4 activations. Not practical unless you're a scenerio gamer though since you have to hold your gun a foot out and crank the thing like an idiot.

"Grinder" actually. Those are custom jobs from Palmer Pursuit Shop. Three Strokers or Typhoons on top of there and you run the crank like you'd run a meat grinder. He doesn't make many of those, but they're impressive to watch run.
That being said, there's a debate now if the Tippmann mod is legal to own, as in state law legal. Someone pointed out since it's not paintgun specific it could be considered a full auto modification in California which would make it illegal to own.
