What was paintball like back then?

We went to a site called 'combat zone' in Sturminster Newton.
The guns we used were BSA scorpians and you had a silencer type adapter with 1 paintball in it.
Took about 5-10 seconds to fire a ball.
You had to cock it like a normal air rifle then put your silencer on.
Later we tied them in bundles of 6-7. RAPID FIRE...hehe
At the end of the day the person who fired the most got a free T shirt.
Me mate won it once and he fired 60 balls....
My team mate and I went back in '92, after we did the tourny scene for a few years, thinking that they would have upgraded to at least a slam firing marker but they had progressed to SPLATTYs.
Still it was a good day.
