Nah, seriously, I don't mind a good laugh now and then, but the way these people were at it, they weren't getting any work done.
Thing is, I'm the sort of manager that gets sent to the departments that are not doing to well. So I go in, form them into a team by giving them a common enemy (me), and when things are all going as they should, I'll turn into mister nice guy (I'm the drill instructor everybody hates, but that gets the job done
).
I do agree though that it's important to enjoy your work. After all, people spend more waking hours at the office than with their family.
