Worldcup?

Bighead_Edd

HOLD FAST!
I know there is a worldcup tournament, held in America but I was wondering, is there an actual World cup.
In football you have teams like England, US, italy etc etc etc. IS there anything like this in paintball, where there is an American team, english etc etc. I think this would be an awsome idea. Can someone please tell me if either I sound stupid or something like this is actually being planned?

Just out of curiosity, isn't the Millennium series leg in Toulouse called the World Cup as well? Out of the two tournaments I would have assumed that this was the most cosmopoiltan out of the two, and was more like a 'World Cup'. Just curious......

What? Toulouse more cosmolpolitan than Florida? I doubt that...Then again, Florida is where old people go.
Anyway, Toulouse is not the World Cup, it is the 7 man World Cup. small, but important difference.
Also, as far as nation games go, there is/was also the Nation's cup thing in Portugal...

The world cup in Florid is 10 man? Ah, you learn something new every day!

With regards to the cosmopolitan statement, I meant in terms of the nationalties of the teams competing, not the people that live there. I would imagine that there would be a bigger range of nationalities of teams competing in Toulouse than there would be in Florida. Just a guess though, as I have never been to the WC in Florida. Would love to go though :)

Yep

They have a 5-man at World Cup as well and this year will have an X-Ball dry run consisting of college teams too. Possibly something on the order of 300 plus teams altogether.
As to the nationality thing probably as many countries represented at World Cup as Toulouse but not as many teams from different countries as the general run of Mil events; ie: one or two from most of the regularly competing Euro countries, some from South America, Japan, a few from Canada and so on.

And, Like Bud, the only other thing related to the original post I recall was Nation's Cup in Portugal which was a kind of available stars from various countries competing after the Mil event in Portugal (?)

So it seems for the range of games and things happeneing, the World Cup in America is the place to be. A 5 man and 10 man event, AWESOME! Would love to be there but I need to get a job and some money first. Maybe next year.

What is annoying is that before I discovered paintball, I was on holiday in Florida, Orlando staying in a town called kissimee (spelling?) around mid october time. Aparently this is where the world cup is held, and about the same time too! I was sooo close but still sooo far, and I probabily would not have known what was going on, even if I was stood in the middle of a game. I was only 16 at the time, and at least 2 years off discovering paintball
