If you have no choice but to use site paint and its not in the greatest of shapes then there are a couple of things that might help.
One is to get a larger back for your UL barrel, by over-boring you will loose a bit of gas efficiency but the SLG isn't particularly greedy and the bigger barrel will compensate a bit for the state of the paint.
The other is to invest in a couple of fluffy sticks, pull-throughs etc. and every time you refill your bottle give the barrel a good clean to remove any residual paint that may have built up on the inside of the bore.
