I started our team last year and round one of the UKWM was our first ever tournament. I was advised against entering as the caliber of the teams playing is way above our league. HOWEVER, we qualified eighth ready for the afternoon games, that was bang in the middle of the fifteen teams that entered.
Woods ball isn't about who's got the most money or who's first off the break or laning a constant barrage of paint, it's about reading the terrain, knowing the best place to attack from and trusting your team mates. This means that all levels of players can find a niche to play in at a woods ball tournament.
Couple all of this with the fact that every single team there was friendly, helpful, and encouraging to those tournament virgins like us and you get an absolutely cracking tournament to be in and I'd recommend it to all levels of teams.
