Well, why did I sell mine?
1. I imagined my new toy to be faster. I actually doubt it, but how I interact with the gun appears to make me think the new ones faster. I think with the new style "bouncy" triggers, the bounce will be on a par with the current machine gun. Actually my new toy is a lot less efficient, more unreliable and really less of a marker, but I'm having none of it.
2. When I punted it, they were still making very good money. To lose 200 quid over 5 months of ownership is good depreciation for a marker, look at the residuals on Angels. I'd say that with a glut of Nexus's about now, there will be some additional downward pressure on prices, so they will be performance bargains (only about 1% of players could probably max out the marker anyway).
3. I think it has suffered a drop in exclusivity. Everywhere you go there are Nexus Guns, when I got mine they were rare as rocking house sh*t. I think this is largely testament to how great they are, but no one really wants to spend over a bag of sand on a gat and then 4 other monkeys have em. Maybe that's the Marker ho in me, but there's not so much "oooooo ahhhhh" over em these days. Players are fashion conscious, and there is no doubt Planet have built an awesome gun, but a lot of players will always want the latest, newest and most exclusive bling machine, or at least something a little different (like how many milling patterns on Timmies these days???).
