My Mother In law (who incidentally, lost her Brother this evening, much respect John if your watching), has a Dishwasher, that projects a light on the floor, to tell you its on, rather than hidden inside...very Posh.

No doubt it is protesting at working conditions and modernisation, when it knew all along, that it would be swilling sh!t around and getting hot, when it decided to become a dishwasher.
And, as for modernisation...I think Finish 7 in one or whatever they are up to now, can only be an improvement.
