Why does everyone take it out on WDP

I must say, I used to get p~ssed off with WDP. Its only when you realise that there are 3 markers.

Speed - No frills (Speed 2003, 05 Speed, 06 Speed)

A4 - G7 Main marker (2004 - 2005)

A4 Fly - G7 Fly (2004 - 2005)

3 Seperate markers that get upgraded once per year. Ok so WDP use the same bodys with a little different milling. Doesn't mean anyone has to buy every one.

Special editions don't count as they are team specials.

Everyone does it. Christ there are loads of timmys. Nexus Egos, XSV Egos, Mantis Egos, Stock Egos, now 06 Egos. As above DMs are the same.

Now all the bitchin stems from people who want the latest model and aren't getting top dollar for their current shooter.

Egos held their price because they have a certain "coolness" about them, but jesus, the classifieds section is flooded with them, prices are dropping, law of supply and demand. People start buying the 06 model, then the credit card bill arrives and bugger can't pay it off. Now do you keep the price of your 04/05 Ego high because its a good gat and start incurring interest or do you drop the price hoping for a quick sale?

Deny it as a lot of you will, we are mostly bitches for the latest shiny gat, if not we would shoot Ions because they perform well for the money, and who cares if your marker smells of tuppaware. I change my gats a lot, because I like to , thats my choice.

Life is too short, love your gat, if you can't afford it don't upgrade.

as some one has said above they release a flag ship gun (G7) every year and a mid range gun (06 speed) and ones with slight alterations (fly)

people dont seem to realise that the G7 fly is not an upgrade to the G7 it is actually the one down from it.

also they bring out team signature series guns ie joy, arsenal. these are those teams guns, made available to you with limited stock, not as a new line of marker.

WDP dont do anything different from SP, DYE regards the ammount of guns they bring out per year. WDP bring them out across the year wheras SP, DYE tend to bring out an 06 range.

people dont see the differnce between the WDP guns, they just automatically think its ANOTHER marker brought out.

fools.

Where did you come up with that idea from..??..

People on all these paintball forums will post there own opinions (good that’s what these forums are for) but please do not post as if it is factual if you do not have the air smith / engineering background to back it up.

The G7 Fly and the Speed 06 are a lot different than the now discontinued G7.

People slate the resale value of Angels.. Who is to blame for that..??.. Simple the folks who will sell them second hand cheep so as to gain funds for a new updated model.

Are WDP to blame? Of course not!

They continue to improve on engineering etc, bringing out new models in two main formats. The flag ship with LCD screen and a cost trimmed LED version of the same marker.

You must look under the milling and body shape to understand what the differences are. If you only chance your marker because it looks different (unless you can afford to like some) you’re the fool…

Any company at the forefront of R&D into air smiting will not stand still. You can tell due to them selling far more markers world wide that the Ego or DYE etc.

I wonder if they sell more than Dye... Planet has no budget gun, where Dye has the Proto and Angel has the Speeds. All three have the prestige model, but I think that I see more Egos this year.

when you put a new trigger, inline, feed neck, barrel on it........ :D
Good use of sarcasm.

And yes, when you put a ''new trigger, inline, feed neck, barrel on it.......'', that only leaves you with the spare 600 to spend on training

But still, the marker was a mistake, with nearly 120,000 sold

How they must regret it.

I think you see more Egos, because they are hip. They are seen as british cool with Nexus leading the way.

At the moment owning an Angel is almost as bad as anything by Smart Parts. Why? Its a good gat, all that crap about accuracy is just that, crap. They do devalue quickly if you sell them on as soon as the latest shiny thing appears. There is no need to sell though, A4 Flys perform just as well as the best out there. LCDs are being brought back from that dusty shelf with the Spitfire Mod and eyes.

I am not saying that Egos, DM's, Timmy's perform worse or better than Angels. Be proud of your marker whatever you shoot.

Angel owners stand, come out of the closet. I own several Angels and I am proud, they work well and if I miss the target its generally because I am not as good as my marker.

AMEN paintballbudgie!!! Yes i am sponsored by WDP so there maybe a little bias there but im comfy with the new 45 frames and the lack of real techie maintenance you have to do.( like cockers) not to say cocker are bad bud you do have to have a real understanding of the gat to diagnose problems. And given that markers now are all much of a muchness at the top end of the scale, the only consideration that really needs to be addressed when buying one is "are you comfortable/confident/feeling good" firing it. That is what your purchase should be based on not the kudos that may come with owning said gat.
