those things can be very dangerous (and i'm a pyromaniac)

germans are quite blatantly not using ABS piping, the normal stuff just explodes. and hairspray is cheapest. i managed to build one and it lew a hole through my fence, it scared me ****less and i haven't done one since.

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
Animals all of you!

What you really want to do is make a blow gun out of plastic water pipe and fire screws through it! They really inbed into fences, trees, oh and if you get it wrong people!

Anyway what I was gonna say was do people think that the antics of people on a certain MTV show with paintball guns, and the subsequent imitations. (i.e. the three muppets shooting spyders in a street whilst videoing themselves!) has led to the rebirth of all this anti-paintball bigotry?

But other than TV problems do you guys really think that the image of paintball can be changed in the eyes of the non-ballers, as long as sites contiue to issue people with full camo on rental days?

Even if the millenium starts getting aired on TV one day, will people still associate paintball with what they've experienced, either personally or second hand? Dirt, bruses, weekend warriors etc.

Obviously the start of this topic is not good for paintball but as for the rest of the stuff we see as 'PAINTBALL' on TV - any publicity is good publicity?

And why do you care if the public's perception of 'ballin is turning up to a muddy field and firing splatmasters around? What should be done is that at the site there are mags (PGI obviously) lying around which show real ballers playin real 'ball!

Then you'll get people moving up into the sport. In the UK context i can't see someone accidentally walking into the Temple or Sparklies or stumbling across a league of the MM - 99% of ballers will start out on rec days through stag do's, work outings, etc and 1% of those will want to play tournaments!

SO - ANY PUBLICITY IS GOOD PUBLICITY (with obvious exceptions):D
