I read this in a National Newspaper today:

"Teenagers in Germany have taken up a lethal new sport-
using drainage pipes as Bazookas to fire potatoes as fast as a rocket.
One man has lost an eye, a woman had her leg broken and a teenager was badly burned when hairspray used as the propellant for the DIY weapons exploded in his face as he prepared to fire.
Horst Przbyla, a police munitions expert said:
What started out as an extreme form of PAINTBALL has become deadly dangerous.
We are waiting for the first death."

Now, somebody please tell me how firing Potatoes out of a tube is in any way related to Fecking Paintball???????????

Yeah they also shot a **** load of bullets and nobody was ever killed.

This sort of thing is bad press for paintball and it is because oof this type of news that paintball is not more popular.
