In fact, it always amazes me that if you give women aged over 40, steroids (progesterone and oestrogen), it's called Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) but if you give it (testosterone)to men over 40, it's called steroid abuse.

Kinda off the current subject... But I heard now this is merely speculation or word of mouth. But is it true Steroids cause you to shrink in the Tool area? But I also heard when it is up during arousal it stays up for ever! Kinda goes back on Buddha saying it causes IMPOTENCE!!!!

Hmmm, ok, not really paintball related but since you asked:-
Extended and massive dosing of steroids can cause problems for sure.
One of the side effects, if roids are taken this way, is a shrinkage of the testicles which persists for the time you take the roids.
Once the roids cease to be taken, the testicles return to normal size.
But these are at one end of an abuse scale, it's like a glass of wine a day is benefical (clinically speaking) but if you start ramming a bottle of Vodka down your neck a day, you are gonna have problems.
The same is to be said of roids, in moderation, they can have beneficial effects, take the piss and they are gonna cause you problems.
That's about it really !!

I had to delete the 'Roid' thread for obvious reasons, sorry, but there are limits
Anyway, 'yes', I do still play in tourneys, mainly the Millennium ones as these are really the only ones worth playing in Europe at the time being.

Kewl now that makes more sense verus "Dude when I was on roids I had a stiffy for hours!" Or "Dude my Nuts Shrunk up like wet Socks!"
