Most of the money on custom autocockers is in the expensive milling and anodizing. My cocker started out as a plain black right-feed '01. Now I have all Kapp pneumatics, a Shocktech hammer and Rat valve, a Blade frame, and a bunch of stuff that makes it look good without being too damn expensive. It shoots great, looks good, and costs just shy of $700. Unless you want the baddest looking marker out there, you can have a great cocker under a grand($).

Just curious. I know jack about cockers but in the end, was it worth all the money? I mean, does it shoot much better than before or are most of those upgrades "psychological" upgrades?
I've heard that the stock cockers can boogie just as well as most custom chrome-plated hot rods (aside from the trigger performance).

Strictly in the head

Other than the Blade frame, nothing was really groundbreaking in terms of improvement. Everything else was just something I felt like getting. Like you said, the stock cocker is not bad at all, the biggest improvements being the barrel and Blade frame.

I have to agree with Inferno on this. I got my mini-cocker in 92 and it's still near stock. The only things I've upgraded is the barrle and gotten a trigger job. (I don't even have a ball detent!). This gun has served me well for about 10 years. This summer I picked up a sandridge for my main gun (wich Rocks!) but my heart still belongs to my old trusty mini.
