This info might be of help or not but it answers several questions.
One... The rule was started by the NPPL and yes it was to stop the problem with hits on clear loaders and same colour paint. But, they also stated that you CANNOT dye/paint the shells it MUST be the original colours as supplied by the manufacturer. Not 100% sure why. I did ask and they said to protect the manufacturers? You would not be allowed on the field with anything but standard.
Two... If anyone has ever seen a Smoke Evo II you will notice that it is tinted but not a lot at all, in another conversation they said "well that rule didn't really work, they are almost clear" so I don't know if the rule will change or not?
Three... We (Planet) are always trying to get Halo parts and it's pretty hard. We did get a hand full of Blue Shell kits in Blue yesterday.
Four... Evolution II loader shells have changed slightly recent so when ordering you need to be careful that you get the right shell. I've not updated the Planet web site yet about the difference yet but info will be up there soon. You might end up having to buy both sides at once.
