not Dye I3's in my opinion.. used them jus recently and cudnt see much of the viewfinder at all.. anythin with a flat front profile (like the profiler) would be good i imagine.. lets you get close to the viewfinder as you naturally would..

i found a lot of my shots werent composed as well as i thought they were :(

but i still got some crackin ones :)
I personally use dye i3's with no problems.

The old Raven goggles were great because they were so tight, but my guys mostly use e-vents now.

but regardless of what anyone uses, if you're not comfortable in them for 8+hrs, they aren't going to help much :)

I used my events when I was up at the masters with the Charms a few months back and they were fine with my camera (Canon 30D). You'll be fine with most masks I'd have thought, just make sure you protect the camera as I had a few close calls with it almost being hit.

what do you guys use AROUND your cameras? i had a plastic bag which was jus wrapped loosely around the end of my 70-300mm lens and then my lens hood on to protect as much as i could :)

my 18-70 was a bit useless tbh..

i found the i3 a bit difficult but then again that was my first time with them :)

Me and my lad have done some phography at Unreal in Madeley. He has a Proto FS and I use a EL with both of us using a camcorder each and a still digital camera. Both are comfortable but the FS has more parts and extra foam around the inside and have good all round vision.

With the varying light levels from wood to Sup air it was easier to use the eye viewer rather than the monitors on the camcorders, but the still camera needed the LCD screen to view the image due to the small viewer.

Just use your peak to shade the LCD or viewer for a good image and a have a mono pod for woods as it's a handy portable tool for lifting the camera into war zones while still filming, and it can be used on really varied terrain..:)
