Its been a long time since i have been on here.
But i have now passed my driving test and should be able to make my own way to paintball events.
I am looking to get along to an event with Dan Randon sometime soon but am unsure which mask would be best to use when taking pictures.

Any ideas guys?
Thanks
James

something that feels comfortable for a long amount of time. I would suggest Grillz or e-vents (only reason i dont suggest proflex is that i personally dont like wearing them for long amounts of time)

*waits for flame's saying try on everything*

e-vents give a wider view of the field and are a lot more comfortable than most masks..

Any mask that gives a wide view angle would be good I suppose.

but thinking about it, its also about being able to get the camera as close as possible to your face to see the viewfinder.
Would these goggles be ok for this?

Profilers if you want to get close (there designed for tight and close up play). They also have big lenses which gives you a wider view.

Surely it cannot make a difference what gogs you use? Techincally the viewfinder will always be at least half an inch to an inch from your eye so I would of thought that all you can do with regard to that is practice or use an lcd screen.

With regard to field of vision, unless youre taping toilet paper tubes to your head and looking down them like youre in a live first person shooter youre always going to have a wide enough scope of vision. What has a wider field of vision is arguable but pointless, they all do the job.

It can only come down to personal preference, what you prefer to wear, what protection youre happy with and what youre happy to have on your noggin for large amounts of time. As J@mes rightly said, its his own personal opinion, I personally train/marshal in vents and play in pro-flex. I can only suggest you find out what you prefer because it wont make a difference techincally.

Yup Jonny is right, your view finder will always be away from you what ever goggles you have, that is why i said you want something that will be comfortable, and field of vision isnt really a must.

you wont be able to rely on the view finder for composition, but only as a guide to what your pointing at. Your camera is set to full auto, and you basically point and shoot, and keep your finger down.

being comfortable behind the camera is what you need, and thats why i said Grillz or e-vents, as they are the most comfortable in my experiance

not Dye I3's in my opinion.. used them jus recently and cudnt see much of the viewfinder at all.. anythin with a flat front profile (like the profiler) would be good i imagine.. lets you get close to the viewfinder as you naturally would..

i found a lot of my shots werent composed as well as i thought they were :(

but i still got some crackin ones :)
