If they think paintball is ****e then take them to a feild for a day (they pay) and then they will have a better outlook on the game
yesterday a guy saw a pic of me in gear and with marker in hand. he asked when i will go to afghanistan...i looked him up and down and thought if i should explain it to him...but then i just turned and walked away. i meet up with crazy stuff like that again and again but most times i take the time and explain the people that its not a wargame, we are no violent-crazy fools and definetely NO IDIOTS or something (as well as we are no nazis, which some people think over here...).

with paticipation up 23%+ in america alone last year the numbers are growing, and there is definatly more a coolness factor to the sport rather than an anoraky one, €gg your problem might be that you look like an anorak what ever sport you participated in

...is that we were so hooked from the start there was a subconcious urge to dig deeper and ask "is there more to this?". also paintball is a relatively new sport and is very expensive to we just have to have patients.

Most of my mates have played woodland and love it, but would never play tournies. They enjoy it at punter level and I wouldn't try and convince them otherwise. At work I've shown them the pics/PGI etc and they say "Oh that's nice" and carry on with their lives. I don't bother trying to explain it to people who don't understand, cos it won't make any difference to them. I'm not gonna try and preach paintball to anyone, after all, I'd top myself if someone talked at me about golf or cricket!
Keep in mind that it takes abut 30 years for something ot go from inception to acceptance. In the 70's home computers were oddities. Now I can't think of many people without one. Same thing applies.
