Where's the Beef?

Do you guys ever get the distinct impression that other people look on us as being dorks...nerds etc. My Dad and brother think we are annoracks (no offense to undisclosed annoracks...SuperNova) and shooting paint at each other is sad...does anyone else encounter this kinda beef?

pretty much everyone i know thinks we're all 'stupid twats that cant get in the army so they shoot paint at each other' of course all my mates that have been paintballing swear it is the best thing they have ever done and always want to go again!

also, when i show em PGI they are always like, oh, i didnt know it was this serious, i thought it was just fools running round the woods and ive showed em sup air etc

The reaction I get from people varies from Uber Geek to "wow can I please have your babies"

Amittedly most of the "get away from me you wierdo crowd" still think paintball is played in the woods (covered in squirrel pooh and all camoed up to the nines) etc

Is that why I get funny looks at tourneys? I thought camo was 'retro' and coming back - honest I did

Most people think I'm a bit strange anyway (It's the Angle-grinding metal plates on my body in clubs that gives it away ) So their reaction is normally about the same

the general reaction of most people is the typical 'fools that run about in the woods shooting each other' stuff until you mention infatable bunkers then they just think i am mad......
heheh then i mention im on a team and have a list of sponcers etc....then they think im a complete nutcase!

"Strange", f'me that's the understatement of the year. I'm one of your team mates and even I think your strange (mind you everybody hates me, so your one up)

Although I must admit p'ball is definitely lacking a certain credibility in the UK at the moment. Have you ever tried explaining to "last nights sexual conquest" that your throwing her out at 0630 hours so you can go play ball????????? Believe me it goes down like.......well they don't go down after that! the normal response is "that's a bit sad". It's worse than Golf!!!!!!!!!
