Correct me if i'm wrong but i think this whole SoManc comes from the fact that in the US the main paintballing scene is in South California, so therefore a lot of teams round there go under the term SoCal as a form of patriotic brother hood. Seems that the SoManc is an effort to try and create the same sort of label for the large number of guys from Manchester who are into paintball.

Admitedly it gets a bit annoying some times with the 'SoManc this' and 'SoManc that'...but well that's their thing. I just have a utter intolerance for all that 'bling bling', 'pimp' urban talk **** that goes on also around these parts.

My active playing has had to be on a hiatus over the last few months due to university that i am hating with a passion. I still occasionally have managed the odd walk-on or spectating at tournaments so along with the forums i haven't been totally ostracized from the scene. I guess in theory i could have played the odd tournament but that would be unfair on who I was playing with as I wouldn't be able to make training and I'm well out of practice. Just because I'm not playing the sport I love, doesn't mean I'm not involved in it. Two weeks till final hand-ins are done and then I'll hopefully be playing hardcore again.

The slur on all the 'urban' talk of late is not totally directed at paintballers, it's just an annoyance of mine in general because it seems to be proliferating everything. Anyway, i never said i have anything against the SoManc thing, in fact I was trying to stick up for it and justify it in the face of suiter's comments.

Quite frankly everyone who is not "SoManc" laughs at the fact they think its 'bling'. Pity it takes a bullitin board to make them realise the fact. :rolleyes:

P.S Still 'SoTees' until they manage to see the error of their ways. Graham, how come you have not changed your location in your profile to 'SoTees', or are you from the NorTees possie??? :D

And you know that do you? Funny as it's only you who has made it an issue......oh wait......there was someone else too.......ahh yes it was another baller who funnily enough plays for you..ices i think he's called :rolleyes: . And if you recall at the time, we had alot more back up from 'real' ballers than we had sad people "laughing" at us........FACT!!

Also whoever said it was bling? We are from SoManc we are Just SoManc, plain and simple. What's bling about that? The fact is that we have built up a good friendly relationship with a hell of a lot of good ballers out there by playing hard, fair paintball.

But if you think that every paintballer from SoManc, or supports SoManc is laughable and sad............thats your perogative Shuck.

My comments were not aimed at you buddy. I understood what you mean't and had no problem with it whatsoever.

It was directed at Shuck's comment of laughable etc........which really boiled my piss!
