I think it is just another way of Dubya throwin his weight around. Hes just using the events of Sept. 11 as a shroud to finish a family vandetta. "Look Daddy! I can bomb him too, I'm just like you! Will you love me now?"

Whats the hidden story??????????????

It may be a little obvious, but 9/11 has gotten the US a little serious about terrorism. Everyone knows that in addition to going after the terrorists themselves, we're also going after their sources of money and equipment as well as their places of sanctuary. Iraq fits all of those criteria. Add to that their NBC weapons programs, their human rights violations, the aggression towards their neighbors, and it just seems obvious that the time for more resolutions and mandates is fast receding.

A point of view from a french guy

United States want to kick out Saddam Hussein, do you really think that it will solve the terrorism problem ?

If yes, it means that the only source of terrorism come from Iraq??
I don't think so.
Terrorism against US could come from virtually every country in the world, we saw that with the 11th september, some group were prepared in Germany while other were prepared in England and France....
So if they start to bomb Iraq for the "terrorism threat" with an unilateral decision, it could means that they will bomb every country who are a threat to them, even if this country didn't attack them before? Why would US have the right to do this?

So I really don't think that bombing Iraq is the right solution, it will become even worst after that, there is already enough people against US in the world at this moment.

Problem is Mark, lotta countries fit that bill, yet we only go for Arabs...Sharron is a terrorist who regularly flouts UN regulations, yet he's a buddy. China has an appalling human rights record, occupied Tibet and killed millions - yes, MILLIONS - of innocent people and continues to do so - yet it's a permanent member of the security council! And let's not mention Chechnya to tha Russkies...

No one doubts Saddam is a bad man, but if I was an Arab I'd be asking 'Why is it always us?' And then I'd start to think that someone had an agenda...

9/11 was a terible thing, but lots of countries have lost lots more innocent people thanks to regimes tha West has supported, so when Dubya tries to take tha moral high ground, well, frankly he has no right to...

Yeah Hussein needs to have a smart bomb dropped on his lap but it won't solve any of the terrorist threat to anybody. It's kinda like the Hydra in greek mythology. You cut one head off and 2 or 3 more replace it. Blowing up brown people might make us feel safer but it's just going to make things worse in the long run.

What I simply don't understand is this...

The best way for a dictator to be overthrown is by his/her own people.

Instead of spending millions sending army's in, just offer to buy the IRAQ people a house and nice car each if they overthrow Sadam.

It would be a damn site cheaper

Will it solve the whole problem??
Nope, but it will take away some!!

Do you think if we killed Bin Laden it would solve the terrorism problem??
Nope,but it helps!!

Lets look at the facts!!

An iraqi defector who arrived in the states 6 months ago gave this account to our government:
He was the owner of a constuction company who's job it was to fix the rooms that Hussien uses to test his biological weapons..He said the last room he repaired was 2 weeks before he left Iraq.

Hussien has used biological weapons on his own people..What would stop him from using them on us??

How long ago was it that terrorists tried to take out the Eifell Tower??Has your memory been that clouded since then..

Since Sep.11th the U.S. has taken a pre-emptive policy..If we believe that you are going to cause us harm then we will strike..Your condolences will mean little to us if a nuke goes off in one of our major cities..

Wake up people!!If you see a mushroom cloud its already 2 late..

Shame the US didn't get serious about terrorism before Sept 11th, perhaps it won't have happened if they had.

Perhaps a look at the reason why it is happening and why the US is being targeted would help!

We have lived with terrorism for years, funded mainly by the US. But it was seen by the US as someone else's problem, it didn't happen in the USA.

Sorry if I seem bitter but I have personal experience of terrorism.

And by the way who is Dubya?
