Decent covered, windproof, big staging area.
Equipment for cleaning down barricades betwween games e.g. water, sponges, window squeegies
Loads and loads of dustbins for rubbish!!!!
Spare armbands so teams can be banded up if they are chronoed during the preceding game

As long as I can't hear him on the field thats fine.
Also who's music taste are you gonna cater for? Lets say for example I vehemently hate the music you like and vice versa. One of us is going to be unhappy if they are blaring out music that the other likes, especially while we are trying to focus on our game!

i am glad that my ideas are being considered. coming over from the states to play here i am most impressed. the venues here are great and well run. your ideas on 2 marshalls that roam the fields is spot on. the more marshalls you have the less trouble you have. if possible a camping area will be nice to have as well for those who do wish to spend money on hotels. i am looking forward to playing these venues. its nice to have a voice in what kind of tourney i want to play in.

thanks for listening

p.s.as for the music and dj. follow in the footsteps of the dj at the pheonix cup. not loud during games. not to loud so that you couldnt hear yourself think when not playing.. he too was spot on.

This has been done already over a thousand armbands all new We have 50 green wheel Bins that will be placed all around the area. Buckets of water with sponges are standard and there will be 4 on each feild in each corner.

Its your tournament you pay to enter why not get a say on what you want, we will look at any ideas.

Music is fine : Noise is not:D
and if any announcements need to be made it cuts straight across the music.

Ask Jerry Ward barber about tolouse 2 years ago where we were subject to 2 days of noise which continually had the same beat.
I thought you had to take drugs to listen to it,not take them because it was an Iraqi interrogation process.
The dj was told in no uncertain terms that he needed to change it or else his deck would be chronographed:D

We then had the whole of the U2 back catalog. I dont mind a bit of U2 but 5 hrs is a bit too much of bono but i was different beats and even some words which totaly disorientated the Dj and he was taking the mind bending drugs (allegedly):D

all games start on time

I like the idea of this. It solves the problem the team I was playing with had, where because one field ran late (due to barricade issues, not the marshalls), we had a whole ten minutes for lunch.

I'm not complaining about the event, as this is one of those things that happens on the day and I think the marshalls handled it well. If all the games started at the same time, this would have meant a decent lunch break for us, and everyone could ahve been notified (over the PA), as this would delay all fields.

Each Marshall will also be issued with a radio to communicate with other marshal's on there field so when you ask for a paint check all the marshal will have to do is call the marshal up on the other side of the field without losing his voice Hopefully this will cut bad calls and help check players a lot quicker

What a fantastic idea, hopefully it'll see an end to countless shouting to get a check on a player at the other side of the field. I don't know why this isn't already in place at other tourney's. You can get the brass eagle masks with radios built in, might be an idea.

As for starting fields at the same time I think it's a good idea as rather than have one fast field getting ahead it'll ensure all fields are insync rather than playing on one field when you should be playing on another one at the same time!!!
But what if there is a fight or dispute on a field it can take time to get an angry team off the field.

Better to run on time than in front.

If you put half of this stuff in place it'll be great, don't spend to much time on the complex stuff if it's your first time running events. As long as there are decent fields, other teams and marshalls you have a tourny. Amenities are a good thing to perfect as well.

lots of people would like to take the family with them so how about putting an area of double netting at the side of each field it wouldn't have to be the full height or length just so the kids can stand near the netting to avoid balls from over the top without the risk of them coming through small gaps
