Only technical dive shops would have nitorgen and most wouldn't sell a single tri mix gas on its own to an unqualified person.
Stick with air mate, easier to get and cheaper.
Dive shops don’t actually stock Nitrogen on its own; Tri-Mix you first add O2 then Helium then top of with air. It is the topping of with air that adds Nitrogen into the mix due to Air being made up of 79% Nitrogen. (Could give you a full run down of the process because of working as a gas blender in a dive shop and being a Tri-Mix dive instructor)
A standard J cylinder of Nitrogen is filled to 230Bar at a max temp of 15oc; most other J cylinders are filled to 200Bar at max temp of 15oc. The reason Ian is looking at a J cylinder appose to just dive cylinders is the volume of useable higher presser a J cylinder gives over a 12 or 15 litre 232Bar dive cylinder. Using a Haskell pump you can easily get 5000psi out of a 230 Bar J cylinder.
With Ian having an account with Air Products his most cost effective way of having enough useable presser for days balling with some friends is to use a J cylinder of compressed air or even Nitrogen over normal dive cylinders.
