What makes a good tourney?

Hell yeah Calvin Rocks!! And Hobbes Rolls!!!
So, we have decent toilets that flush and have no queues. Also, Decent hot food and cold drinks.
A large safe area, big enough to fit ALL of the teams.
Flat sup'air fields, with good viewing areas. Excellent, not adequate, safety netting.
Good judging.
Availability of fresh, quality site paint.
Enough Chrono's so there isn't a massive queue before each game!

well we have the beautiful un smelly no spiders non wobbly toilets complete with nail brushes, fluffy towels, mirrors, nice soft toilet paper and lots of it. Full mains water and lights at the tug of a pull not switch. The ladies even looks like a girlie loo lilac with pink curtains and girlie stuff. ( If you don't belive me come and see it for your selfs.)
We always have lots of lovley paintballs and they even have their own radiator to keep them happy.
Yes have great kitchen and serious tuck shop 10 diffrent caned drinks and um choccy well you know us girls like our choccy so just a bit more than mars and twix, plus of course the penny sweets.......... yum....
Ps I do have the piccys of a certain team toasting marshmallows.
like I said have nice grassy supair feild with veiwing areas, we will be extending this for 2002.
I have to agree about safe zones, so we will be limiting teams to
allow enough space.

Wot you all seems to be missing is value for money...
Certain tournies (not mentioned) are rip-offs or cost so much that they are a once amonth bimonthly events...
Making paintball afforable to the great unwashed will reap dividens both off an on the field.
Kids/students and young people in general are the way forward, as well as all the talented p'ballers with less than glamerous jobs could all do with paying less.
Just think how much dosh is req'd to play.. touney fee, paint, and travel/accomodation mean we all have to make a sacrafice to the all mighty god of dosh.....
I am lucky i can afford to play (barely), but to get 7 other like inded people to spend £120 for a day's play make for very slow growth in the industry.....
Just a thought...

While value is great people will play for quality within reason.
would you prefer to pay say £100 a team and get an OK tourney or £200 and it be the schiznit? if it means more reffs, better facilities etc I for one would play less often to make the total expense the same (if not less as only one petrol etc)
Refs/Schedule/covered (and large) safe zone and I also like the ability to spectate.

How about:
Decent Car park, close (as in part of ) the safe zone
half-decent drainage (my cocker, unlike my woman, doesn't like eccessive mud baths), plenty of gas, the safe zone being warm and dry, a train station within easy walking or cheap cab distance (I want my car back ), maybe somewhere to sleep (tents in summer, inside a cow in winter).
Plenty of marshals, loads of (free) water in the summer, somewhere for marshals to shelter between games (preferably netted).
Not just sup'air, things like hyperball, or bale/barrel* fields (*those blue barrels which seem to be part of every paintball site ever).
Different format maybe (like the diablo 3-man a while back, 3 teams per field)
Extra trophies, such as move of the day, marshal of the day, and of course prat, of the tourney.
An easy to find site, or if it's a bit out of the way, then a few signs up from the major route.
Oh, and if you could get the moon from up there, onto a stick? That would be just champion!
