See, I've always numbered it the other way round..

100 being their start gate, 0 being ours.

Am I the only one that does this?

No mate. 0 is "Back Line" then it goes 20, 30, 50 then your on their side of the field. "their back line"

"He broke to the 50, bumped to their 30 on the tape and then hosed their back line"

Etc...
