You can't generalise !
Play the Joy Masters, and the fronts will have easy runs to a giant 50 where they play on their feet - while the backs have impossible long runs to tiny sausages in the corners.
Play Amsterdam, and the backs take 3 steps out and are in cover, while the fronts have insanely long runs ending in bellyslides into small bunkers.
And then.... it also depends what you make of your position.
Some fronts just keep their head down and do very little - others work their bunkers like madmen (try looking at Ryan Greenspan for a good example).
Some backs are content just pooring paint down the wire game after game - others play both sides of the bunker, play high and low, communicate, keep check on opposition positions, move up to break open then game, etc.
So - basically - life is what you make it (and depends on the field).
