What do paintballers want?

I'm in the school IT lab after just having been set my Communication Studies A2 project, which involves me creating an "artefact". This can be something like a leaflet, booklet or even website, and the idea is that I create some communication-thingy that fulfills an audience's needs.

As I'm pretty interested in paintball, I'd like to do something related to it, but first of all I need to see if there would be any point, as I'll be required to justify what I do. Fortunately, paintballers make up a pretty specific audience, and I'm really hoping that I can pull this off.

So, this is your chance to tell me what you would like. Ideas I've already been going through are things like a guide to walk on sites in the UK, or maybe a booklet on practices you can do in the comfort of your own garden.

I do ask, though, that if you do bounce some ideas, you would be willing to maybe being interviewed/hassled by me as I'm going to need substantial feedback from my audience. I also ask that you ignore Wiggywann, as he does communications with me and I dont want him stealing my research!

Thanks for your time, and I hope I can produce something that'll be of some use to you guys. :D

What about a guide to different drills to do as a team... Its always quite interesting to find what other teams do as drills, so maybe try and collate them into one document with purty diagrams and the like. But arn't u supposed to come up with the ideas?

Thanks Munkeh, that is something worth considering.

I am meant to come up with teh ideas to a certain extent, but one of the requirements is that I solve someone's needs so I'm seeing what you guys want!

40 views and only 1 reply though! Don't you guys want to get me to make something for you?

CHICKS :D

I want chicks, lots of em................ cheerleaders will do nicely. Yes I reackon that should solve all our probs, get loads a tottie and tourney's etc and on mags with paintballers (well me :D) and he presto........... goldmine.

I'll put myself down for like an experiment or sumthin, chuck me in a room with 15 or so cheerleaders gemme a couple of days of cough..private time..cough with them, and then we'll see wot we got

But hey failing that i think that alot of ballers would like to know stuff like you mentioned training drills, tips n stuff like that. And maby even profiles on players who grab the headlines so we all kno who to watch or sumthin.

But still think the chick thing is a goldmine ;)

In depth review.

Get your hands on everyones nice shiny markers, and review them, accoeding to how you like them.
Trigger feel, looks, weight, speed, air useage etc, etc

And rate them, out of ten.

There is nowhere that i have seen that actully compares the markers against each other.

just an idea.

The only trouble with a Marker review is what you like some one else might not, but it could be good for a project.

The other idea of a walk on review with a certain criteria is a good idea but without a budget it is impossible to do a covert report on them all.

Here is a few ideas

Which on line shops for paintball are any good, time helpfulness etc (again need cash)

A review on DVDs which has which feature etc etc

A website for info on other websites, so you just say easy to use, content for all the PB webs out there.

A booklet on trouble shooting markers would be good,

A list of what each team is like, ratings etc

Thanks so far guys, I like Tom Tom's idea of a website that would be a guide to other sites, it could range from AO to Warpig!

Marker reviews...it would be pretty nice to play with bling kit but I'm not sure how my efforts could compare with What Paintball Gear's :( Also at the end of the day personal preference plays a big part, but it might be something to consider.

I think that so far a guide for team training or paintball websites look to be the best, but I'm still open to ideas as this thread's only been up a few hours.

Thanks again everyone.

More information about paintball to outsiders. Create flyers and leaflets about info on paintball, also tourni paintball. How fast it has come to what it is now, How many people play it, What country's play and get involved in it, the minimum age to play from, the adrenalin rush you get from playing and basically how much fun it is for all races, size, agender and age.
Just my 2 pennies :)
