i am hopefully going to put a freak on a nasty impule(which i am possibly going to get) and also i am going to play middie/ front man and i was looking at either a 14 inch or a 12 inch, so what do you guys think?
if u r playin up front then go for 14 cos u can still manipulate the barricade...(sup air)... and be able to change sides with out having to take a step back
if u are at the back then go 16 cos it is the best length for pokin the barricade... 10 and 12 are not very good at this atall and 18 is a lil bit long...
I play front (if i make it there off the break ) and I find the 12" very snug but harder to manipulate the barricade.I find a 14" just about perfect.
I also have a 16" but havent used it yet but it seems FAR tooo big for a front player. But it makes my shocktech cockerlook evil though
The paintbal does all the accelerating it's ever going to do in the first 10-12 inches. Any amount barrel after than does nothing.
The bore size and correct paint to barrel match it was determines your best accuracy and gas effeciency.
I use 14" barrels because I play a lot of air fieldsand like to nudge bunkers around a bit to stay tight. Other fields with hard cover I try to use 12".
