Length only makes a slight difference in efficiency and none in accuracy. Some peole claim that a longer barrels makes them more accurate. That's not true, but perhaps they can site better down a longer barrel and it just seems that way. Paint to barrel bore matching is most important. Lengths are personal preference and can depend on where you play. I like longer barrels for airball so I can push them right up against the bunkers and move them around a bit to stay tight and fire. Hyperball or other hard bunkers and i usually like a shorter barrel so I don't have to swing a bug tube around and risk hanging out. Woods is a tossup. Some people like to stick their long barrels between twigs and some like having short barrels behind trees.
For a little more there are some good multibore sets, as some people have mentioned. My prefernce is the J&J Edge kit. It works as well as any other highly polished tube out there and I find they sell pretty cheap.
