What are paintballs made of???

Doing graphics coursework and need to know wot paintbalss are made of for this enviromental/moral section.....any ideas???

Paintballs Have a Gelitene (sp?) shell, thus they are biodegradable not sure about the fill.

Aren't the RPS advantage shells made from cellulose or something like that?

I'm not sure about the RPS Advantage but I recall to have seen them having a patent of using some kind of modified starch in paintballs - could be that is the thing they are made of.

i think most of it is food grade ingrediants aswell....
not that i would want to much any for lunch.

i did find a vid on kazza about how they are made which was quite interesting (and before anyone else says it... yes i do need to get out more)
