How might it work with WGP using the Eblade and Planet already cutting their deal with SP?
It shouldn't effect WGP/K2 as they are buying a product that has been already had a surcharge/licence (whatever the aggreement entailed) applied to it so WGP/K2 shouldn't have to pay a thing.
As Robbo has just said Ledz must be kicking himself, as the possible ensuing courtcase would have stopped the SP case once and for all and then Planet would have not had to sign a thing.

I am surprised to read a post like that from you, Baca. Forgive me, but I thought that your son's place on a high profile SP team would incline you not to compare their, uh, business practices to extortion or Hitler (I assume not Stalin- the analogy is less apt that way). I don't remember you justifying the business practices in question, but I don't recall seeing any comment on them from you.

I realize that you and your son are seperate people, and SP sort of seems to relish the brigand aura they have given themselves.
Why not? Everybody else does and besides, I have a disclaimer in my sig. Anti-corporate pball is the coming thing. I'm just catching the wave now.

As a rule I generally don't make a big deal one way or the other out of the team's doings tho it's nothing really to do with sponsor considerations. And I try to keep my iconoclastic tendencies non-specific as a consideration to PGi more than anything else. I have no trouble separating my opinions about various peeps or companies from their products but it could easily appear otherwise if someone was unhappy with a particular review, for example. Nor, to their credit, has PGi ever told me there was anything I couldn't say. Ant just edits out all the really dangerous stuff. :D

Personally

I reckon anyone with the 'muscle'(read cash) to wrestle with SP over the patent business will be 'let off easily' so as to make it not worth bothering with.
SP maybe greedy but they aren't stupid. If they were to say to K2 we hold this patent which you are infinging on, if you put our patent number on that item and we'll call it quits. Is K2 really gonna say 'screw that we'll spend $?????????? and fight it'??
After all there's already 3 markers out of the competition why fight a patent which then means you have more competitors, specially if it aint gonna cost you any extra?
Naaa, the only companies SP are gonna go after are companies that can't afford to defend themselves.
