the black dragun aint as durable as a cocker, ive compared them both[friends has a dragun] and the accuracy was bollocks comparing basic set ups.

The new 2003 cockers is looking great, nice milling and looks like a custom made body:)

007, I didn't know they had gotten that cheap. Damn, that is really cheap. Anyway, I got the basic at the start of this season for 150, and it performs well at local tournies and recball. The thing is, its durable and reliable yes, but its a loud gas hog that cant really be ugraded much. Theres a reason the pros use high end markers like cockers and not Dragun basics for $115, thats mostly because while the draguns are fairly durable and reliable, the high end guns are very durable and reliable, can fire faster, are quiter, are generally smaller, and can be upgraded an insane amount. Not that I care what people buy either way, the Dragun is a great deal and can indeed run even with markers 4 times their cost, but at some point the little things that make the marker so cheap will catch up to you.

On a side note, how the hell can M3 make any money on those things? They're basically spyder shutters with an electro grip, that should run about 230/240 right? They must be moving a whole lot of product to be making any profit off those markers.

Although, now that I read the orignal post, I have a buddy who got a wgp cocker. He had to put on a three way valve, 15 degree handle, and a hinge trigger just to make it usable, and he still says he'd rather have the dragun. So if its a choice between a base cocker or a dragun, buy the dragun and use the $$$ you save for a better barrel, revvie if you don't have one, and maybe either a longer drop foreward or a remote.

well then he had a dodgy cocker, ive tried a stock cocker with no upgrades on it and it ran fine. I am running a 97 evo with nothing on it[except 3way] and it runs really nicely. So your buddy got a dodgy marker in which he should take it back if it was brand new.

kingman probably jacks their prices way up due to overhead etc.
i've never fired a cocker or seen one but for an entry to med level marker the black dragun is a great gun. i highly recomend it over all the spyder e-markers. it doesn't have all the froo-froo extras that make a marker heavy.
and to whoever said they can't be upgraded: they take spyder parts! show me a marker with more upgrade options than a spyder. well, they may not all be good but that's another discussion.
