alrite peeps,

welts just how painful can they be?i played and did some training yesterday and it was all in the woods so we cranked it up to 300fps.because supposedly the play is more spread out.anyway being a progressive player pushing all the while i got shot pretty close for most of the day(when i got put out).yesterday i could feel the damage and was in a little pain especially the 2 4 1 mug i did which got me shot several times close range by an impy,in the hand and wrist, but heh we won the game.
also a nasty one from the last game in the groin area that shocked a few ppl when i showed them.for the peeps who saw that one it was nothing in comparison to the welts on the back of my leg, acquired in the village from an impy too.both of these impys were on C02 and i was just wondering how prone to spiking C02 powered markers are cos' i know range and paint type can affect the welt but i dont think its supposed to draw blood like all 3 of these welts did...anybody else who was there have the same probs?im not bitchin' cos i love it anyway and im always proud of me scars especially this one i'll try and get it online for you all-its that impressive...
at 300fps i noticed there were less bouncers which in my opinion was a good thing.
hope everyone at sparklies had as gooder day as myself and "ignite" and yes the easter egg was nice and the action man mug is cool...
till we meet again,

CO2 can spike in cold weather or if the tanks have no anti syphon and they draw a lil liquid, an impy should pretty imune to that though what with the Maxflow reg and all.
Welt wise I got shot point blank in the neck (it was an accident ) that took a couple of layers of skin off and has left a lovely ring scar which looks like ring worm.....lovely!
When you say you chronoed up to 300 FPS I assume you were still below 300?

(ps i have heard ring worm scars are attractive in some poorer countries-you would be classed as healthy cos' the ring worm didnt kill you...)

You can get a pretty impressive bleeding welt from a legal ball - got one from a site inferno at a fair distance once & that chronied at comfortably under the 300fps.

Screbble - part of your problem is you have no natural padding. No fat = more chance of bad bruising/bleeding which is why it's more often places like necks & hands/wrists that come off worst. I, as you now know, have plenty of inbuilt padding & that bleeding welt above was my only one, on my hand when I had very foolishly lent my gloves to a newby friend.

yeah Scribble, eat more pies YOUR NOT FAT ENOUGH! lukcky we let you on out team;)
I didn't get any nasty ones from Sunday. actually in wood i prob get more nasty bruses running into things than PB welts. It was a good day so i don't think Co2 can be blamed for any spiking. but yeah Impys for some reason do pack a punch yet at an ok fps level.

That woz me that woz!! And nearly 2 years on, the scar is still here!!

Why do we do it????!!!

Nah.... that'll be the now rusty fence-post I fell on as a child which is still firmly lodged within the cavity formed by my rectal sphincter....

......besides, it helps when your coming out of the left hand side of a bunker!!
